Hudson/Catskill Housing Coalition Mobilizes Regional Mutual Aid Network for Upcoming Food Distribution

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 3, 2026, Hudson, NY — The Hudson/Catskill Housing Coalition (HCHC) is preparing for its next regional mutual aid food distribution taking place Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM across Albany, Hudson, and Catskill.

Following last month’s powerful turnout, HCHC and its partners are expanding efforts to ensure families navigating rising grocery prices, housing instability, and economic uncertainty can access fresh food, hygiene products, and critical support free of charge.

This coordinated distribution reflects a growing regional commitment to collective care. By partnering with grassroots organizations and neighborhood leaders, HCHC is strengthening community-based solutions that prioritize dignity, accessibility, and solidarity.

“Community care is a practice, not a one-time event,” said Shirle Cross, Co-Founder and Board Member of HCHC. “When we show up consistently for one another, we create stability that goes beyond a single day. These gatherings are about shared responsibility and shared power.”
