HCHC Plans Mother’s Day Food Distribution on May 8

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 22, 2026, Albany, Hudson, Catskill, NY — The Hudson Catskill Housing Coalition (HCHC) will host its next mutual aid distribution on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with sites in Albany, Hudson, and Catskill. Timed just before Mother’s Day, the effort is designed to ensure individuals and families have reliable access to free food and everyday essentials.

Across the region, many households continue to navigate rising grocery prices and ongoing financial strain. In response, HCHC is working alongside community partners to provide free access to fresh produce, pantry items, and basic necessities, helping reduce barriers to essential resources.

This multi-city distribution brings together volunteers and partner organizations to support neighbors in a meaningful way. Each site will offer a welcoming environment where community members can access what they need.

“Care is something we practice, not just something we talk about,” said Shirle Cross, Co-Founder and Board Member of HCHC. “Creating opportunities for people to access food and resources is one way we stay connected and responsive to what our communities need.”
